There’s a couple of pieces of information on Watford’s loan army in the Spanish media today.
First up is Cucho Hernandez. Signing for the Hornets from Granada in 2017, the Colombian was sent out on loan to Huesca and then stayed there for the current season.
The 20 year old has made 34 appearances as a centre forward so far this season, scoring four goals and making three assists.
Estadio Deportivo say Watford want €25m for a permanent transfer, and Huesa ‘wont reach’ such an amount.
The youngster has ‘lowered his level considerably’ this campaign, explains the report, and his statistics are a disappointment considering the 16 goals and six assists he managed in Spain’s second tier last season.
Watford have a decision to make, with his contract expiring in June 2020.
Next up is 21 year old Pervis Estupiñán, who signed for Watford in 2016 before going on loan to Granada, then Almeria, and now second division Mallorca.
The left back has made 18 appearances this season and scored three goals, making two assists.
Spain’s Cope say Mallorca ‘don’t know what will happen’ with the player, but they highlight his ‘great performance’ at the club.
He has a Watford contract until June 2021.
