Watford forward Obbi Oulare has spoken to the Belgian media about his struggles since he left Club Brugge last year, and sign for the Premier League club. Oulare is currently on loan with Zulte Waregem in order to get more playing time at senior level.

Voetbal Nieuws have reported on comments the 20 year old made after he scored for Zulte Waregem yesterday. Oulare said he’s not had many chances since returning to Belgium in the summer, but now hopes his goal changes things.

The attacker explained that since joining Watford over a year ago it’s been a difficult period for him, and he was expecting more when he joined the Premier League side.

“I have not had many chances. This goal is also a great relief. The past year and a half was difficult. I arrived at Watford with great expectations, but nothing,” said the youngster on his experiences at Zulte Waregem and Watford.

Oulare signed for Watford for £6m last summer, but rarely figured for the club. He made just three appearances, with two of those coming in the Premier League. Oulare has featured more for Zulte Waregem, but including his involvement yesterday he’s played just eight games.
