There’s some good news coming out of Belgium for Watford as La Nouvelle Gazette are reporting that Obbi Oulare is back in training for Standard Liège.
While Hornets fans most likely won’t be too bothered about this, the fact the Belgian striker is back in the first-team group before the summer means there’s more chance the Premier League side can move him on.
The 23-year-old, who has been on loan with the Jupiler Pro League side all season, has only made four appearances following a horrific tibia fracture suffered six minutes into a substitute appearance against Akhisarspor in the Europa League.
Already suffering from fitness issues in the early stages of the season, Oulare hasn’t started two consecutive league games since February 2018.
This has been a problem for Watford, who have him under contract until 2021 and aren’t expected to get any money from Standard Liège this season.
However, a good preseason under his belt this summer could go a long way, meaning the timing of his return is, in fact, good news for the Hornets.
