Serie A side Napoli are currently in talks for the signing of Watford winger Gerard Deulofeu, according to the Italian media today.
Website Calcio Mercato claims the player’s agent Alberto Bonites has been in contact with club director Cristiano Giuntoli.
The talks became ‘intensified’ in the past few days, with Napoli being informed that Watford are currently demanding €30m for the sale.
The Italian side reportedly consider it to be too much, and the move is unlikely to happen unless the Hornets accept to lower their demands.
Deulofeu is said to be pretty interested in returning to Serie A and joining Carlo Ancelotti’s side. That’s why his entourage is currently in talks with Watford to try to get his price down and make the transfer easier.
The Spaniard, however, isn’t Napoli’s priority for the summer. They first want to sign James Rodriguez, so Deulofeu would be more of a plan b.
