Bought by Watford last summer, Dimitri Foulquier still doesn’t appear to be in Javi Gracia’s plans despite a decent season on loan at Strasbourg.

The French defender was previously linked with a return to his home country, but nothing appears to have concretely stemmed from that particular avenue in recent weeks.

Instead of rotting in the Hornets’ reserves/stands, the right-back could be heading back to La Liga, according to Le10 Sport.

The website claims that, according to their information, a loan move to Getafe has been agreed between the Premier League side and their Spanish counterparts.

In fact, the move is said to be all but done, and all that’s left is for it to be made official.

Prior to his transfer to Watford, the 25-year-old spent three years with Granada CF after a £2m move from Stade Rennais in France.

Capped 14 times for France’s U21s, Foulquier has yet to make a professional appearance for the Hornets.
