Watford have decided to recall Mileta Rajović in the summer, according to Tipsbladet.
Last September, the Hornets allowed the striker to join Brøndby IF on a season-long loan deal.
The Watford player was at the Danish club’s academy during the 2016/17 season. The report states it was a dream come true for him to join them on a temporary deal this season.
Rajović scored eight goals and registered two assists from 26 games for Brøndby. The possibility of extending his stay, even on loan, beyond this season has been ruled out.
Tipsbladet have found out that Watford have made a decision that the Dane will return to Vicarage Road in the summer.
Rajović joined the English club from Kalmar FF in August 2023 and signed a contract until 2028. He scored 14 goals in his debut season at Watford and recent claims from the UK have stated his parent club have high expectations.
Tipsbladet relay that and then add that a lot will depend on the next Hornets permanent manager.
The Championship side sacked Tom Cleverley after finishing 14th in the table and are working on appointing his successor. The incoming manager’s stance on Rajović will be key to determine whether he will be at Watford next season.
