RMC bring an exclusive on Monday regarding the future of Cheikh Niasse.
The 19 year old is being courted by three clubs ahead of the January window, with those named as Watford, Rennes and Mainz.
Lille would rather not sell, partly because they could see other exits in the winter market. Niasse hasn’t been used much this season, but with there being growing interest in Boubakary Soumaré, the youngster could get more chances in the second half of the season.
RMC make it clear that ‘as often’ with Lille, everything depend on what they’re offered. A transfer therefore certainly isn’t ruled out, and it’s stated there’s been talk of a loan with a compulsory purchase option.
Niasse is mainly a defensive midfielder, but can also be used as a central defender, providing some versatility to a squad.
No potential figures are given, and there’s no explanation whether Watford, Rennes or Mainz have even started talks, however, this is certainly one to keep an eye on ahead of the window opening.
