Napoli star Juan Camilo Zúñiga has been strongly linked with a reunion with Walter Mazzarri at Watford, and reports now suggest a deal is close to being completed.
Last night, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported Zúñiga has agreed to sign a three-year contract with Watford, and that an announcement will be made today.
Later, another Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio also reported the same with some extra information.
Di Marzio reckons the Colombian international is already in England, and has completed his paperwork.
Zúñiga will be joining Watford on a free transfer, despite having one more year left on his contract at Napoli.
Napoli are close to signing former Newcastle United player Davide Santon, and that may have worked in Watford’s favour.
The 30-year-old made just 9 appearances for Napoli last season, and is likely to get regular playing time at Watford.
