In what seems a slightly eyebrow raising claim, Calciomercato report three Championship clubs are keen on sign Sami Khedira.

Everton are named, with Carlo Ancelotti’s side now being repeatedly linked, and then it’s stated Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich City are also keen on the Juventus midfielder.

Completely out of the picture this season under Andrea Pirlo, a winter exit is being seen as a likely scenario. Khedira recently encouraged rumours when he hinted he’d be tempted by a move to English football.

He’ll almost certainly have been thinking about joining a Premier League club, nevertheless, Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich have been dragged in.

The German’s Juventus contract expires at the end of the current season and there’s been rumours the Turin club could negotiate a release in January. Khedira must be aware it’s unlikely he’ll find a team to match his wages, so there’s going to have to be compromise.

Whether that compromise extends to him considering Championship clubs remains to be seen.
