Walter Mazzarri has had a good start to his tenure at Watford, with the Hornets in the right half of the table.

However, Mazzarri’s team suffered a tough loss to Liverpool on Sunday, but that wasn’t entirely unexpected.

Ahead of their trip to Merseyside, Mazzarri spoke  Radio Deejay (via FC Inter 1908) in Italy, and was asked about a possible return to Inter.

Mazzarri insists he doesn’t want to rule anything out, but explained he wanted to come abroad and experience football in England.

He said: “I never placed limits. I never say no. I chose to have an experience abroad to understand a different kind of football.

“I was fortunate to have come to a competitive league. I enjoy this moment, then you never know.”

The Serie A side are looking for a new manager after the sacking of Frank de Boer, but former Villarreal manager Marcelino is believed to be in talks to take over at the club.

Mazzarri’s comments shouldn’t be too concerning for Watford fans, given the Italians long held desire to manage in England.
