Florin Andone is of serious interest to Watford, report Marca, so much so, the club have contacted Deportivo La Coruna to learn theconditions of a possible summer transfer.
It’s not the first time Andone has been linked to the Premier League, in 2015 he was said to be of interest to then top flight side Aston Villa, and in December it was Sunderland said to be considering a move.
Marca say Andone’s buyout clause is €30m, but Depor would be looking at around €20m from Watford. That’s a really high fee for the player, and the reasoning is that Depor won’t get all the fee, with 30% going to former club Cordoba.
Andone scored 12 goals and added 2 assists this season, which may have caught Watford’s eye, but almost certainly not to the level they’d consider spending €20m on the 24 year old.
Deportivo La Coruna paid less than €5m last summer, their arrangement with Cordoba makes any transfer difficult, and Watford could decide other targets make more sense.
