West Ham United have joined a few other clubs in the race for Juventus’ Manuel Locatelli.
Massimiliano Allegri has already confirmed the 24-year-old is not among his first-choice midfielders. The latter’s displays this season has been subject to criticism and it has also led to a rise of reports linking him with a move away from the Serie A side. potentially as quickly as the January window.
Recent claims have mentioned Arsenal interest in the player, but they are not the only London club as West Ham are also in the mix to sign him.
The Old Lady signed him on a two-year loan deal from Sassuolo in 2021 and have an obligation to make his stay permanent for around €40m. According to the report, Juve will not part ways with Locatelli for anything less than his buyout clause.
In other words, West Ham must be ready to invest at least €40m to see Juve agree to sell their player. The report doesn’t mention whether Locatelli would be open to joining the Hammers.
