Fiorentina have to battle it out with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in the chase for Corinthians’ Murillo, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Serie A side want to take a new centre-back before the window closes and the 21-year-old is their main target. After following him for several weeks, La Viola tabled two bids of €8m and €12m, which were turned down by the Brazilian club.
Corinthians want €20m to sanction the defender’s sale. It’s claimed they are willing to lower the price to €15m as long as they receive a high percentage of the profit from his future sale.
Fiorentina must also ‘watch out for PSG and Manchester City’ as these two sides are also in the mix to sign Murillo.
The report states the Ligue 1 side have seen their €15m [likely without a percentage of the fee from his future sale] bid get rejected by Corinthians. Pep Guardiola’s side, for their part, are following the player for next season.
Even though Fiorentina must compete with Manchester City and PSG to sign Murillo, TMW say they can take him in the last days of the window, if they table a €20m bid.
