Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot is a transfer target for Liverpool, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Massimiliano Allegri likes the midfielder and wants to keep him, but he has a deal expiring in June. His long-term future at the Serie A side remains uncertain even though the manager would be keen to retain the 27-year-old.

While the Turin club are waiting for the court’s verdict on Serie A’s decision to deduct them 15 points this season, Juventus chief Francesco Calvo and his collaborators are moving in the market on different profiles, looking for players who currently earn less than €3m per year.

There will always be exceptions made, and Juventus need to decide whether to renew Rabiot and Ángel Di María’s contracts or ‘sacrifice’ them and let them leave as free agents. The Old Lady have identified Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi as a priority target for midfield.

Allegri’s side don’t plan to exercise the buying option for Leandro Paredes. Therefore, they will have to sign two midfielders, if Rabiot leaves them.

The France international is courted by several clubs in the Premier League and this is when Gazzetta mention Liverpool.

It’s claimed Juve must ‘watch out for Liverpool’ as they appear to be hovering to sign the player for free in the summer. That’s all the report has to say about Jürgen Klopp’s side, and this potential bargain signing.
