Everton could look to sign a new striker in the summer after failing to bring in a new player in the same position in the winter market.
The Toffees had looked at a few targets in January and will continue to monitor some of them for next window. This includes Udinese’s Beto and Atalanta’s Duván Zapata.
Everton maintain an interest in Zapata if the latest report from Italy is to be believed.
The Turin club have Aleksei Miranchuk on loan from Gian Piero Gasperini’s side and during the meeting with Atalanta for the Russian, they have asked about Zapata.
Torino must ‘watch out for competition from Everton’ when chasing Zapata. His contract runs until 2024 and he’s no longer ‘indispensable’ for the Atalanta manager.
In addition to this, the 31-year-old’s ‘price tag is affordable’ for the Toffees and the Italian club. There’s no mention of the South American’s asking price but Torino must beware of competition from Everton.
