Trying to guess who will be the next club linked with Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla is a bit of a lottery these days.
If we were to put together all of the articles we’ve covered on the matter together, each of the top six will have been linked at one point, as well as clubs like Everton.
Monday is Chelsea’s turn, thanks to Corriere dello Sport, who explain how Lazio have now joined the race too, and see it as the ideal place for the Albania international to ‘continue to grow gradually’.
He would be given first-team opportunities there, and it will be up to him to carefully decide where he wants to go next.
Inter, Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea are all named as competition for Claudio Lotito’s side, but Corriere explain he would simply be ‘one of many’ there and need to ‘overcome bigger obstacles’, which isn’t ideal for his development.
This is how Lazio plan on selling their project to the 20-year-old in hope they can see off the other clubs, who ‘may respond with money’ to try and get the OK from his club, Hellas Verona.
For Chelsea, they appear to still be in the mix, aware of the talent Kumbulla has, but they might have to rely on something other than their Premier League cash.
In the end, its will all come down to what the player sees as the best fit, really.
