The Argentine media is once again today filled with headlines about Manchester United star Edinson Cavani and his chances of joining Boca Juniors in the summer.
The reason for it this time are the comments made by journalist Martin Costa live on TNT Sports, talking about the odds of Cavani joining the Buenos Aires side.
“There are chances. I have the information that he wants to come here. That doesn’t mean that he’ll just come. He wants to be in a competitive team,” Martin Costa said live on TNT.
Even though Martin Costa was confronted by journalist Nicolas Distasio, who doesn’t believe Cavani is making the move, he stood with his opinion.
The Argentine media takes the quotes claiming that the ‘demands’ made by Cavani to play for Boca Juniors as him wanting to join a side where can fight for big things, such as trophies.
Edinson Cavani has a contract with Manchester United until the end of the season, with an option to extend it for one year further.
The chance of arriving at La Bombonera for free is the reason why the operation seems possible, added to the already well publicised player’s wish to eventually return to South America and live closer to his family.
