Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has spoken to Haber61 with regards to Leeds United loanee Caleb Ekuban.
Ekuban has impressed in recent weeks following his struggles earlier in the season.
Agaoglu explained the club are pleased with the Leeds United forward: “When we signed Ekuban, a lot of people criticised us. We have a good deal with Leeds United, if we want to sign him then we can.”
He added: “The thing about Ekuban is, he is like one of us. His mother passed away, he returned early and wanted to play. That’s the kind of attitude we want in this football club. He fits the jersey and hopefully the jersey will stay on him beyond this season.”
In the past week we’ve covered reports from Turkey that the Super Lig side want to make Ekuban’s move to Trazbon permanent in the summer but also want Leeds United to lower the redemption clause.
Ekuban is also said to be keen on a permanent move to Turkey after his struggles at Elland Road last season. The Ghanaian joined the Championship side from Chievo Verona but failed to make an impact during his time in England.
