Even though the Chilean media always tries to make Alexis Sanchez look good, not all South American personalities can do the same.

The Manchester United player is getting some heavy critiscism all over the world these days, and now it was time for an Argentine legend to make some comments on him.

Mario Kempes has been interviewed by Radio ADN this week, and said the Red Devils’ loanee must choose what he wants for his career at this stage.

“Alexis left Barcelona for Arsenal and from there he caught a new breath. At Manchester United he didn’t have as many opportunities as before,” said Kempes.

“So you have to ask yourself: what are you going to play for? What do you want? Playing football, entertaining yourself and have a good time, or get to a big club, make money but not play. It’s a question that must be asked of all the players, not just Alexis.”

It’s RedGol who covers these quotes, and they add that the word of a World Cup winner must definitely be taken into account.

Currently having a loan spell at Inter Milan, Alexis Sanchez has one goal and two assists for the Italian side this season. That makes his permanent stay in Serie A quite unlikely.

There have been mixed claims about whether Manchester United will keep the Chilean in their squad for next season or not, although he’d arrive in a totally different form than the one when signing from Arsenal in 2018.
