Barcelona are looking to offload Junior Firpo this month, and it’s no surprise to see West Ham dragged into the picture.
The Hammers have been repeatedly linked with Barcelona fringe players in recent years, and it appears agents have joined in with that theme.
CalcioNapoli24 report an exclusive that Junior has been offered to Napoli, however, they’re not the only ones.
According to the claims, the left-back, who can also play further up the pitch, has been offered to West Ham by his agent, and they’re currently ‘waiting for the Hammers response’.
Firpo has been given 351 minutes by Ronald Koeman so far this season, and the 24-year-old needs more prominence if he’s to have a chance of fulfilling his potential.
A move to England, and therefore West Ham, would be the player’s preference right now, but it will all depend on what David Moyes and those in charge of the pursestrings think.
Over at Napoli, they haven’t dismissed the idea, although they would need to offload a fullback of their own first.
