Last month, AFC Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen stated rejecting Real Madrid and Barcelona was the most difficult decision of his career.

The defender snubbed the La Liga giants to join Juventus from Malaga in 2021 and the Old Lady sold him to the Cherries in the summer window.

Huijsen has played 13 games for Bournemouth and impressed for them in their recent fixtures, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. That’s according to AS, who state the 19-year-old has ended up on Real Madrid’s radar again.

Real Madrid have monitored the centre-back for a while and his file has been passed on from their recruiting department to their sporting leaders.

They are considering improving their defence in January and the Spain U21 international could be an option. He could improve the Champions League winners’ defence for many years, but they still have some doubts.

Los Blancos aren’t clear whether the Bournemouth player can star for them in a short period of time. In addition to this, it’s not clear whether the youngster would be willing to accept a back up role.

AS add Manchester United and Arsenal are positioning themselves to ask about Huijsen’s contractual situation at Bournemouth. Real Madrid, for their part, are debating within the club on whether or not to make an approach for him.

His contract lasts until 2030, and the report states Bournemouth won’t sell him for ‘cheap’ without mentioning any figures.
