Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Vítor Pereira has turned his attention to Brazil in an attempt to strengthen his midfield options this month.

That’s according to UOL, who report that Flamengo’s Gerson and Palmeiras’ Richard Ríos are both on the Wolves manager’s transfer wish list.

They report that both players are being monitored by the Wolves coach, who knows Brazilian football well after working there with Corinthians and Flamengo in recent years.

He’s following both German and Ríos with interest as he looks to strengthen his options and Molineux and save his side from a relegation battle.

This was backed up by journalist Neto, who appeared on the Os Donos Da Bola show and confirmed that Wolves were looking at both players and assessing their situations.

Neither he nor UOL provide any further details on the matter beyond that at this moment in time, so perhaps Wolves are simply doing their homework before making any moves.

It should be noted that reports earlier today made it clear they would be he happy to sell Mario Lemina this month, and he has interest from Al Shabab, so perhaps this Brazilian duo are being eyed as replacements if anything comes of that.
