Fabio Paratici has insisted Harry Kane’s good relationship with Tottenham Hotspur could help the club secure his long-term future.
For the past few months, Bayern Munich have been credited with an interest in the Spurs star, and there’s been some confidence in Germany that Kane is tempted. On Tuesday, Paratici was asked about reports linking him to the Bavarian club.
Although Kane hailed the German champions as a top club, he stressed his focus remains at Tottenham.
On October 12th, Tz stated that Julian Nagelsmann’s would be ready to break the €100m mark to sign the England international, if they can find an agreement with him.
Spurs sealed a 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Wednesday. Prior to kick off, Sky Italia spoke to Paratici, and he was quizzed whether his goal is to convince Kane to end his playing career at the north London club.
“Kane is the symbol of this club, the best scorer in history and captain of England. We are confident and always in contact, there is a great relationship between him and the club, we are very optimistic,” the Tottenham chief said, relayed by Voce Giallo Rossa.
The 29-year-old has several years ahead of him at the highest level and Spurs could keep him at the club for a long-time by handing him a new contract. His current deal runs down in 2024.
As Kane continues to lead Tottenham’s attack, Antonio Conte’s options have improved with the addition of Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison to their squad this year.
“This is more of a question for Antonio [how forwards can coexist]. We are happy to have them, we play in a tough and intense league where you have to have players of a certain level if you want to compete,” Paratici explained.
“This season we added Richarlison, Kulusevski in January and let’s not forget that Lucas is back too. We have a good squad.”
