After suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Valencia at Celtic Park, Brendan Rodgers and his men will visit Mestalla to face the same opponent in the second leg of the Europa League knockout tie on Thursday.
According to Super Deporte, Marcelino has had only 17 players available for training, a day prior to the match, as Rodrigo Moreno, Gabriel Paulista and Cristiano Piccini were not present during the last session for the Bhoys clash.
It’s claimed the trio will not be present to face the Scottish Premiership side tomorrow. Rodrigo missed the last two matches against Celtic and Espanyol due to the bruising on his left foot and the same injury will keep him out of action to face Rodgers’ side this week.
Gabriel last featured against Real Betis and a discomfort in his right thigh has kept him out of action against for the last three matches and that will extend for four matches as he will miss the European fixture.
Piccini has a muscle injury and will return to action against Betis in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey clash.
Neto injured his finger against Celtic, but he recovered in time to face Espanyol over the weekend and he is expected to start, with Jaume Domènech’s chances of starting in the Europa League ruled out, according to Super Deporte.
The 17 players are Neto, Jaume, Wass, Garay, Diahkaby, Gayà, Lato, Coquelin, Parejo, Carlos Soler, Ferran Torres, Guedes, Cheryshev, Kang In, Gameiro, Sobrino and Santi Mina.
