Santi Mina has been one of the great hopes of Valencia’s future for a few years now, covered in the Spanish media as he’s progressed to the first team and been linked with moves to other clubs.
He’s one of the players Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic spies will have been looking at closely ahead of the Europa League matches between the two clubs. Mina has been playing regularly for Valencia so far this season and has 21 starts across all competitions so far this season.
On top of that there’s been a further four substitute appearances, and he’s scored a total of eight goals. Considering the club’s struggle for goals towards the end of last year, that’s not a bad number.
However, he won’t be playing against Celtic this week.
SuperDeporte cover a medical release from the Spanish club, which explains the 23 year old has sprained his left ankle and will be unavailable for the trip to Glasgow.
