When Marcelino Garcia Toral was sacked by Valencia earlier this season, it was obvious the reaction from the fanbase wouldn’t be good.

The pressure has been enormous, and according to the Spanish media today, this is convincing club owner Peter Lim to sell his shares in the Mestalla side.

El Confidencial reports today that the Singaporean businessman ‘got tired’ of all the protests, and has now been listening to offers for Valencia.

Lim is said not to be in a hurry to sell, and will carefully analyse the numbers that get to his table. He reportedly wants at least €300m to sell his 70.4% share.

El Confidencial says there are offers coming from Chinese and South American investors. Although no negotiations have been open for now, Lim has been listening to all of the bids.

Perhaps this will turn out to be a good story to encourage fans to protest against owners who haven’t been running their clubs properly.
