Following on from Super Deporte claiming Everton and Valencia are in talks over the transfer of Aymen Abdennour, we thought we’d check the rest of the Valencia media to see their take on things.
Plaza Deportiva are also reporting that Everton have contacted Valencia and opened talks to sign the central defender, with the Spanish club hoping to get the €22m back which they paid AS Monaco last summer.
Deporte Valenciano go a step further, and they claim Everton and Valencia have been in talks for two days over the transfer, and that both clubs expect a deal can be reached by tomorrow.
They believe Valencia would hope to get €18m for the player, and they say he’s been pulled out of the team presentation because of the transfer talks.
This is easily the biggest sport story in Valencia right now, and it’s clear they believe what they’re writing, rather than passing around rumours.
Time will if they’re right.
