Bild are very excited about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s reported personal terms with Arsenal.
On Friday the German newspaper cover what has been presented as agreed personal terms between Arsenal and the Borussia Dortmund player.
Claims in England have put the amount Aubameyang would earn at around €10m, and Bild seem astonished that would be after tax.
Aubameyang is currently paid around €10m a year by Dortmund, so it’s explained he’ll be swapping a before tax salary for an after tax salary.
But there’s a problem, and it’s a rather big one.
Bild point out that Arsenal can agree what they like with Aubameyang and his family, but they also need to please Borussia Dortmund, and at the time of publication of the article the German club were still insisting there’s been no contact.
There’s not just been no offer from Arsenal, but no contact whatsoever. If what Dortmund are briefing their local media is true, and Kicker are saying the same thing, then Arsenal haven’t even initiated talks with BVB.
