According to a report from the Turkish media, Super Lig side Caykur Rizespor are interested in signing Liverpool striker Divock Origi.
It’s reported that after selling their star striker Vedat Muriqi to Fenerbahce, the Black Sea side are looking to bring in a replacement, and Liverpool’s Belgian is seemingly an option.
Despite recently signing a new deal, Milliyet believe the Turkish club may be able to reach an agreement with the player over a season long loan deal, and talks with Liverpool are set to commence in the coming days.
Milliyet report if Rizespor can find a deal with Liverpool, then the player will move to Turkey.
In the past, Origi has been strongly linked with a move to Turkey’s biggest clubs such as Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Galatasaray, but now he’s linked with a move to Rizespor.
The Belgian striker was decisive for Liverpool last season as he scored some crucial goals during Liverpool’s Champions League winning campaign. He played 21 games for the Merseyside club last season, scoring 7 goals.
It seems unthinkable he’d even consider joining Caykur Rizespor, so perhaps Turkish loan optimism has run away with itself again.
