Leeds United invested €25m to secure Luis Sinisterra’s services from Feyenoord in the summer window and he became the Eredivisie side’s record sale in the process.

The winger has had a good start to his career in England, managing three goals and an assist from the first six matches in all competitions this season.

His impressive displays for Leeds have helped the Colombia international return to the national team for this month’s international break.

Jesse Marsch’s man came off the bench in Colombia’s 4-1 friendly win over Guatemala on Sunday and netted his first goal for his country.

“Unique feeling of scoring my first goal with this shirt. I will always be proud to represent my country,” he said, as quoted by Infobae.

Gol Caracol have also interviewed the Leeds player and Infobae have relayed his quotes. Sinisterra, who has enjoyed a good run with both club and country in recent weeks, wants to extend this run.

“Starting this process with a victory was all we wanted, what we had been working for. Very happy for my first goal with the Colombian National Team and there will be many more,” the South American explained.

Having scored in the last two league ties, Marsch is likely to start Sinisterra when Leeds face Aston Villa on October 2nd.
