Juventus rumours about interest in Paul Pogba are very much like Barcelona rumours of interest in the same player.

Media local to the club report there’s, at the very least, an admiration of the Manchester United midfielder, but it’s explained the transfer would be very difficult due to finances.

In Italy they worry more about the transfer fee, assuming it’d be a minimum of €100m, and the Catalan media tend to fret about the player’s huge salary, given Barcelona’s wage bill is already way too high in relation to club income.

Calciomercato again push Juve interest this week, saying the club has an ‘undeniable desire’ to get their former player back to Turin.

But, it’s made very clear it wouldn’t be a January thing, and there’s absolutely nothing imminent around a potential transfer. Any effort would be part of a longer term plan.

Interestingly, the Serie A champions are conducting other business with Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, and this could obviously help if ever a real attempt is made.

This week Turin newspaper Tuttosport reported that when Juve travel to Old Trafford next week, they can use the opportunity to charm potential purchases, including the French World Cup winner.
