Aston Villa and Sevilla are interested in RCD Mallorca star Vedat Muriqi, according to Fichajes.net.

The Kosovo international joined the La Liga side from Lazio in the last window and starred for them, having a direct role in nine of the 13 league goals scored by Mallorca. He’s managed eight goals and an assist from 12 league games this season.

Muriqi’s impressive displays  have aroused interest from other clubs, with Aston Villa and Sevilla being the ‘most insistent’ ones to sign him.

Sevilla sporting director Monchi has identified the striker as the target to bolster his side’s attack. They will face competition from the Villans as Unai Emery has a ‘great interest’ in bringing the frontman to Villa Park.

A potential deal, at least in January, remains difficult because the player is happy and has no intention of leaving Mallorca.

If Aston Villa or Sevilla were to convince Muriqi to join them in the winter market, it will benefit Lazio. Cittaceleste.it state the Serie A side sold him to Mallorca for €9m and they will receive 45% of a fee from a future sale.
