Earlier on Monday we covered claims from Catalan newspaper Sport that Tottenham are interested in signing Rafinha.

They’re the third Premier League club to be linked to the Barcelona player in the past few days, with West Ham and Arsenal coming before them.

Mauricio Pochettino was said to be pushing the idea himself.

The same article explained how Barcelona are somewhat annoyed with Inter Milan for not using their €35m buying clause after suggesting they would do so.

Rafinha spent the second half of last season loan in Italy and Barca expected Inter to make the deal permanent if they qualified for the Champions League.

With a meeting due with Inter soon, it all looked like the Catalan media were helping Barca out by putting pressure on the Serie A club.

Now Sport have taken it a step further by saying Rafinha could be a ‘bargaining chip’ for Christian Eriksen. It’s very optimistic and even the Catalan newspaper don’t sound so convinced by their own brainwave.
