When RMC first started advertising they would be speaking to Abdoulaye Doucouré this evening about PSG, it didn’t sound very good for Watford.
The French club’s interest in the midfielder has been reported more than once in France recently, and there was always a good chance he could drop a big hint he’d rather fancy the move.
Asked about the situation, Doucouré told RMC: “PSG holds an important place in my heart.”
Then asked if he’d be interested in joining Marseille, the Watford player said: “They already contacted me but I wanted to move to England at the time. It’s a big club, but the club of my heart is PSG.”
Back at the end of October, it was reported in France that PSG were preparing a ‘€30m envelope’ to try and sign the Hornets player, but it wasn’t thought to be enough.
Then, in December, RMC reported PSG had contacted the player’s entourage and stated Doucouré was ‘interested’ in the possibility of a transfer.
The 26 year old is originally from Meulan-en-Yvelines… near Paris.
