Currently playing for Chamois Niortais FC in Ligue 2, Thibaut Vion is about to discover English football for the first time through Hull City.
That’s what France Football are reporting on Tuesday, claiming that after passing his medical earlier this week, the versatile player will be moving to the KCOM Stadium for next season.
The 26-year-old, who can play right-back or a bit further forward as a right-midfielder/left-midfielder, is set to sign a two-year deal with Hull City, who currently find themselves in a bit of a relegation scrap in the Championship.
His contract with the Ligue 2 side expired on June 30th, meaning he was free to choose his next destination.
While his career might not have gone as well as he had hoped so far, Vion can boast winning the U20 World Cup back in 2013, having played alongside the likes of Paul Pogba, Florian Thauvin and Kurt Zouma.
Starting his career at FC Metz, the Frenchman also spent three years at Porto between 2011-2014, before returning to his previous club and transferring to Niort in 2017.
