Arsenal can sign RB Leipzig star Marcel Sabitzer for less than €20m this summer, with the German club drastically reducing their asking price.
That’s according to BILD, who say Sabitzer ‘will be allowed to leave for less than €20m’ despite having an exit clause worth €50m written into his contract.
That’s because Sabitzer is out of contract next season, and so far, there have been no successful talks about him renewing his deal at the club.
Arsenal have been named as suitors on several occasions and most recently by Gazzetta dello Sport at the end of June.
At the time, the Italian newspaper stated that Sabitzer could be signed for as little as €17m, which was an ideal price for Arsenal as they plan something of a rebuild under Mikel Arteta this summer.
BILD go a long way to corroborating that information in stating he’s available for ‘less than €20m’, although they don’t name an exact price, and there isn’t any mention of the Emirates club.
What they do say is that Borussia Dortmund are also keen on the Austrian, so the Gunners will have to move quickly if they wish to pull off this bargain signing ahead of the competition.
