Leandro Trossard has had a good start to the season with Brighton & Hove Albion and has two goals and two assists to his name from six matches.
He starred for the Seagulls in their 5-2 win over Leicester City on Sunday by scoring a goal and registering an assist.
The Belgium international’s display against the Foxes is highlighted in the media from his country. In addition to this, they also discuss his future at Brighton.
Trossard has less than 12 months left on his contract and Graham Potter’s side have an option to further extended by a year. Het Belang van Limburg state they are not keen to exercise it.
That’s because Brighton ‘intend to offer’ the winger a new long-term deal through ‘classic negotiations’, because that is ‘how important he is’ to them.
The former Genk man’s future at The Amex is also discussed by Het Laatste Nieuws.
They state the Premier League side didn’t receive a top offer for their star in the summer window.
Even though Potter’s side can extend the 27-year-old’s contract until 2024, they would prefer to retain Trossard for longer by offering him a new contract which would also include a pay rise.
