Aston Villa have put the brakes on Kosta Nedeljkovic’s potential exit to Valencia for the time being despite open negotiations between the two clubs.
That’s according to El Desmarque, who report that Nedeljkovic’s potential departure from Villa Park will not be simple, nor will it be immediate as there are ‘two problems in sight’.
They explain that despite reports in Spain that Valencia had contacted their Spanish counterparts at Villa Park about the youngster and they had shown a willingness to let him go.
El Desmarque report that while he may be on the exit ramp at Villa Park and there are not ‘excessive objections’ to his departure, there are actually several clubs interested in signing him on loan.
Aston Villa don’t want to let him leave until they clarified matters, particularly as they’re limited to six loans outside of England and already have five this season.
They need to work out their plans before sanctioning a move to Valencia or elsewhere and so the brakes have been applied for now.
Fortunately, relations between the two clubs are excellent and when Nedeljkovic is sanctioned to leave, the belief is that Valencia will be given preference.
It’s all in Aston Villa’s hands at this moment in time and with plenty of the January transfer window remaining, there’s enough space for negotiations to work out a deal.
