AC Milan’s interest in the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea continues to draw attention from the Italian media, where Calcio Mercato today provides an update on the situation.
The website writes that the player ‘likes’ the Serie A side as a potential destination. Now there are said to be ‘two obstacles’ which need clearing for this move to be done.
The first is that Milan can only sign Ziyech on a loan with a right to buy, and that’s something Chelsea would need to agree to.
Then there’s the issue of his wages at Stamford Bridge, which would be too much for the Rossoneri to afford. So despite his wish of a move, the Blues would still need to give ‘a little help’ for the deal to be concluded.
Milan are already spending a lot on signing Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge, and even though that doesn’t stop their interest in Ziyech, that means they can’t now offer too much money for his arrival.
Now it’s up to Chelsea whether to make the 29-year-old’s transfer easy or not.
