‘Two elements’ make Leicester player ‘attractive’ for club – Chief ‘paid attention with interest’

AS Roma are keeping tabs on Leicester City centre-back Çağlar Söyüncü, according to a report from Italy.

The 26-year-old has been restricted to two appearances this season, which came in the Foxes’ EFL Cup clash against Stockport County in August and in the league defeat to Manchester City in October.

With a deal running down in 2023, the defender’s future is likely to be away from Leicester City and this has alerted the Serie A side.

Söyüncü earns less than €2m per year at Leicester. His salary and the duration left on his contract with Brendan Rodgers’ side are the ‘two elements’ that make him ‘attractive’ for Roma.

Meanwhile, Fanatik reported on Wednesday that the Premier League side could use the player as a part of a deal to sign Fenerbahçe’s Attila Szalai in January. If this deal were to go through, then José Mourinho’s side would have to look elsewhere.
