Ever since Andrey Santos was bought by Chelsea, there was a worry over whether he would get a work permit to feature for the Blues this season.
There was hope that his participation in the U20 South American Championships would be enough to give him the points to get it, but that hasn’t been the case.
It was announced on Friday that the Chelsea midfielder was denied the work permit, with it claimed that he would likely end up going to Brazil on loan.
That goes against other reports, with the player himself wanting to reportedly stay with the Stamford Bridge side to adapt in England and never leave them again.
Well, while that could still be the case, journalist Bruno Andrade is reporting that the loan to Brazil is now ‘increasingly likely’.
As for what his destination could be, there are two clubs, Palmeiras and Internacional, that have ‘the preference of the player’.
Regarding Corinthians, they are currently outsiders, meaning it could be a two-horse race for Andrey Santos going forward.
