Mousa Dembele’s contract at Tottenham Hotspur will expire in 2019 and Calciomercato reported in October the midfielder has ‘no agreement’ with the English club to sign an extension.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Inter Milan and AC Milan are interested in the 31-year-old and are ‘following’ his situation at the north London club with ‘particular attention’.
With his contract set to run out at the end of the season, the former Fulham player will be available on a free transfer so he becomes an opportunity for the two Milan clubs, if they have to strengthen their midfield.
The report mentions it will not be easy for potential suitors to convince him to join them, because of his demands.
Dembele is looking for an annual salary of €3m, likely to be after tax, plus an additional €3.5m should be paid to his agent. TMW mentions the finances involved seem to be too high for a player who will turn 32 next summer.
Whether clubs will meet his demands or Tottenham convince him to renew remains to be seen.
