Manchester City attacker Nolito is still much wanted in Spain.

Although most of the claims are about Sevilla being close to signing him, there’s another club who are trying to find a deal. According to El Desmarque, it’s Celta de Vigo, Nolito’s old club, who have hopes to sign him back from City.

Celta’s sporting director Felipe Miñambres has given a press conference for the announcement of Maxi Gómez’s signing, and also commented on the possibility of signing Nolito: “We have the market in the same situation, it’s interesting. We think he could be important at Celta again and it could be good for his career as it was then.”

El Desmarque claims that Celta hope they can take advantage of the few details left between Manchester City and Sevilla to find an agreement, and then try to get the player.

This detail would be simply the price of the transfer. But would Celta have as much money as Sevilla do for the transfer? It seems unlikely, but it all depends on how far the clubs want to go for Nolito.

Meanwhile, Estádio Deportivo also claims that there’s ‘total confidence’ at Sevilla that they will land the player.
