First emerging on Wednesday evening via Alfredo Pedulla, the story of Wolverhampton Wanderers going after Franck Kessie took some time to gain some traction, but it’s now starting to do so.

Calciomercato report that Jorge Mendes organised an attempt by Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to sign the Ivory Coast international, with an offer of around €30m with bonuses still to be defined.

Milan ‘haven’t refused’ the bid, seeing as they are open to the player’s sale and have left it up to him to see if he wants the move or not.

The Italian website explain sources close to the Serie A side have told them the player ‘isn’t convinced’ of a move to Molineux and, for now, has turned down the opportunity.

It’s worth pointing out that Patrick Cutrone wasn’t that thrilled about the idea at first, and we all know how that turned out in the end.

This reluctance from the player is also being reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, stating outright Kessie ‘wants to continue to wear the Milan shirt’ and will turn up in the afternoon to train as expected.
