Good news for Manchester City fans: De Bruyne’s injury is now OK.

This is what DH are reporting on Wednesday after the Belgium international took part in his national team’s training session this morning following his absence on Tuesday.

Feeling a niggle in his hamstring, the Manchester City midfielder seemingly felt it was best to skip training as a precaution, but clearly felt well enough today to feature.

A key cog of Roberto Martinez’s plans for the Belgium national team, De Bruyne has been a regular under the former Everton manager, growing in confidence as the games have gone on.

After initially struggling, the attacking midfielder has picked up four assists in his last three games for his national team, and will be expecting to add to his tally in the upcoming pair of fixtures against Bosnia and Cyprus.

The Manchester City star has been in great form for his club recently, drawing comparisons with some of the best in the world, scoring two goals and picking up four assists in nine appearances so far this season.
