Zsolt Löw left Chelsea at the beginning of September, as the Premier League club parted ways with manager Thomas Tuchel, a Blues decision which came as a surprise to the manager and his coaching team.
The Hungarian coach had also worked with Tuchel at PSG, so it was natural for him to accompany the manager to Stamford Bridge. Now, things may be different, and instead of the pair working together again after Chelsea, it looks like Löw is heading out on his own.
At 43-years-of-age, he’s looking for a role as a manager or head coach and that could lead him to the Bundesliga.
Pellegrino Matarazzo was shown the door by VfB Stttugart earlier this month, and the club are searching for a replacement. That’s where the former Chelsea man comes in, with German journalist Florian Plettenberg reporting Löw is in talks to take the role.
He’s described as being a ‘top candidate’ for the position and therefore close to his first stint as a senior manager.
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel seems to be taking his time over finding a new club.
