American group the Friedkins are showing a lack of respect to Roma amid the current situation and their takeover at Everton.
That’s according to scout and former sporting director Carlo Jacomuzzi, via Area Napoli, who believes the American group need to get their priorities straight.
The Friedkins are currently closing in on a takeover at Everton, with their agreement to buy the club from Farhad Moshiri this week passing the initial tests from various authorities.
In the meantime, they find themselves in crisis management mode at their other club, Roma, where matters have gotten progressively worse since the sacking of Daniele De Rossi at the beginning of the season.
His replacement, Ivan Juric, was sacked last week and the ownership have found criticism aimed their way once again.
The Romanista are extremely unhappy with the management from the American ownership, anger that has only been added to by a growing belief that their attention is being divided by the impending takeover at Everton.
Jacomuzzi, who once worked for the Toffees, certainly isn’t impressed and has called out the Roma owners on 1 Football Club.
“How do I evaluate the situation of Roma, given that the name of the new coach is still not officially known? This is the problem of the club, which is still truly in disarray,” he said.
“If I then read that there are agents of the coaches who propose themselves, it’s a problem. Just as it’s a problem to rely on third parties to make choices because then you remain tied.
“These, the Friedkins, want to buy Everton, when the English team has so many debts, they then make money by building stadiums. Roma is a glorious, historic club, you can’t joke with these colours, you have to have respect. Even those who govern should intervene.”
