Manchester United are linked to two Portuguese starlets in a story from Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport today.
The newspaper, obviously focusing on Serie A clubs, says Juventus are interested in both João Félix from Benfica as in Francisco Trincão from Braga.
Regarding Félix, Corriere Dello Sport claims there’s a race with Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid all involved, with the Red Devils being the first to show their interest.
They say the player is protected by his €120m release clause, and Benfica, who are experts in selling players, are unlikely to let him leave for much less than that.
It’s claimed that while Juventus ‘study’ the possibility of signing him, other clubs such as Manchester United and PSG ‘push to close the deal early’.
The Premier League club scout endless games in Portugal, at both youth and senior level, so if Trincão, a 19 year old forward, is worthy he’ll have certainly caught the eye of club scouts.
Mainly playing for Braga’s second team, and recently promoted to the first team squad for match days, the youngster has a release clause of €30m and it’s likely interested clubs would try and get that figure down.
