On Thursday we covered a report from Italy which stated AS Roma are keen on signing Robin Quaison, which provides competition Birmingham City could do without.
It was also reported it Italy that Quaison’s reaction to receiving an approach from Birmingham was to decide to wait until closer to the end of his Palermo contract, which expires in June. The attacking midfielder believes more offers would come in, and German side Hoffenheim were stated as being on pole.
On top of that, the player’s current club Palermo had been given a new push to try and get a renewal done.
Not a great situation for Birmingham and their hopes.
It gets even more complicated on Friday.
Not only have Genoa club Sampdoria been linked by Sky Italia this morning, TMW say Belgian side Anderlecht are also pushing themselves into the running.
Gianfranco Zola’s task of signing Robin Quaison for Birmingham City looks to be a very hard one.
