Sporx report Besiktas want to sign Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini this summer and have already taken steps to do so.
It’s been claimed the Turkish club’s president Fikret Orman has held talks with Fellaini’s agents, and there’s been a ‘positive response’ from the player, with it believed he’s keen on the move.
Besiktas have previously been linked with Fellaini, with the Turkish side showing an interest last summer. Galatasaray also reportedly tried to sign the Manchester United player last summer, but instead they brought Badou Ndiaye.
According to Sporx both sides have held talks about a possible transfer and more meetings are likely to be held in the coming weeks.
The Belgian international’s future at Manchester United isn’t clear yet, but Jose Mourinho is still hopeful of keeping the former Everton player for at least a further season.
Fellaini, who’ll be out of contract this summer, has played 22 games for Manchester United this season, scoring 5 goals.
Turkish links and Fellaini have been around for years, and there’s always (misplaced?) confidence in the country that a deal could happen.
